For riders of any age — answer a few quick questions and get a personalized board length, width, flex and shape recommendation, then shop matching boards instantly.
Recommended board length
For adults, your recommended board length starts from a weight-and-gender based baseline, then gets adjusted for height, riding style, ability level, terrain preference, and speed preference. For kids, length is based primarily on height (matched against a standard children's snowboard size chart), nudged by weight-for-height, ability, and speed. You can also nudge either result with a personal length preference.
Board width and waist width come from your boot size (converted to Mondopoint, the universal boot sizing scale) — this matters because boots that are too big for a board's waist width can drag your toes or heels in turns. Flex and board shape are derived from riding style and ability level for adults; kids' boards are simplified since almost all youth boards are soft-flexing true twins.
It's a strong starting point, not an exact science. Personal preference, specific board models, and conditions on the day all play a role — when in doubt, demo a board before buying if you can.
Every rider and board model is slightly different. The range gives you room to pick shorter (more playful, easier to turn) or longer (more stable, more float) within what suits you.
Our width calculation currently supports typical boot sizes across the Mondopoint scale. If yours falls outside that range, you'll still get a full length, flex and shape recommendation — just check width against the manufacturer's own chart.
